Kantha Sampler Duster | salt I
This is a very special coat. If you can spare a minute, I'd like to tell you about it...
To create this piece, we sorted through dozens of bags of our pre-consumer fabric waste, collected & carefully stored over the years; putting together a selection of beautiful fabrics - in this coat you will find a range of textiles in rich, dark & earthy shades, with a sprinkling of gold zari.
This careful curation of fabric waste was then patched in a geometric pattern we designed. The quilting stitches that cover these patches explore the vast repertoire of kantha hand embroidery: this coat is a veritable sampler of kantha, a landscape of embroidery. It's simply glorious & we can guarantee you've never seen anything quite like this!
