Our Cocoon Coat is timeless: refined in style, but designed for effortless, every day wear. It's a one-size coat featuring full lining, a wide box cut, and dropped shoulders which taper into semi-fitted sleeves. The narrow sleeves provide shape to the oversized body. It closes down the front with a hidden placket and coconut shell buttons. Our Cocoon Coat is collarless, has broad welt side pockets and falls to just below the knee.
This style crafted from a soft, mid-weight blend of wool and eri silk, hand woven on pit looms by the Vankar weaving community in Bhuj. The cloth is coal black and flecked with thin, irregular stripes of natural beige eri silk. A rich, supplementary weft border in golden beige tussar silk decorates the hem and adds weight. The coat is fully lined with a light-weight handloom cotton in black.
