Our Kantha Sari Loungers are oversized, effortless robes with an open front, drop-shoulders and full length sleeves. Each piece is crafted from two layers of our finest recycled silk saris; cherry picked for their fabulous patterning and colours, carefully paired, and embroidered with fine, all-over kantha stitch.
They feature facing in the sleeves, front, and back yoke to provide structure and added detailing. Each piece is reversible, completely unique and a zero-waste product. The feel of each piece differs depending on the individual saris it was crafted from - some pieces are softer and drape more; others are slightly stiffer and have more structure.
Our free sizing is intended to compliment most body shapes and sizes. The fabric gives a beautiful drape to the modern box shape and oversized sleeves. We love wearing it with the sleeves folded up to hit just below the elbow.

Kantha Sari Lounger | olive green & burnt orange
Our fully reversible, Kantha Sari Loungers are made using two layers of vintage silk, sari fabric, handpicked by us for their fabulous colours and designs and paired piece-by-piece in our studio.
These are stitched together in the style of kantha, in which women hand sew rows of tiny running stitch from end to end to provide strength and enable the recycling of saris. This kantha creates a rich, rippling effect across the fabric and adds a unique texture to the products.
Each piece is unique - you will never see the same combination of fabrics and threads twice. And our kantha is of the highest quality, stitched by women whose families have been sewing kantha for generations in the kantha heartland: West Bengal, India. Any variations or irregularities are part of the design and inherent to the production process.
